he was going to trash Monica Lewinski as a liar and mentally ill person, until the dress. It's hard to say what he was going to do until the dress, so you might be right. But public relations, however stupid, mean-spirited, wrong or evil you think it may be, is not illegal. What do you suppose they wanted with all those FBI files, if not to dig up dirt on their opponents? Again, stupidity?-Yes! Criminal intent? Ask Ken Starr. .What about his goons going after Paula Jones with the trailer trash bit. His "goons" was one James Carville with a public outright smear. Ill-advised? Yes, but again-public relations. Not some pre-planned secret whispering smear campaign without attribution. There have been numerous reports of people suddenly being audited by the IRS who opposed him. Really? Can you find a real one? Linda Tripp immediately comes to mind but there were others. Did she ever actually claim this? Did Ken Starr discover such a thing? Can you imagine the firestorm that would have erupted if this actually occurred?
