PCCW Subsidiary To Market Chinese Voice Web Surfing By Kristian Kender Managing Editor, asia.internet.com [March 06, 2001 Hong Kong] Pacific Century Cyberworks' (PCCW) majority owned broadband advertising and sales network, AdSociety has signed a sales partnership agreement with AboutVoice, a voice recognition technology provider. Under the terms of the agreement Adsociety will market AboutVoice's Web Director software to online properties and other organizations. Web Director allows Internet users to perform online voice searches in either Cantonese or Mandarin for topics, products and services. Websites that sign up with the service will be able to register key words and phrases with AboutVoice that bring web surfers directly to their site. asia.internet.com
