OT We have NEVER had a party of the left. The Great Society is not the problem, now. The Republicans still haven't accepted the New Deal and the labor movement. Social Security and public education are their current targets for privatization. The political power of labor unions is being attacked as part of campaign reform. Where are you on universal health care? That is a progressive idea that will not originate from the compationate buffoon. His latest idea is to put the chief lobbyist for private hospitals in charge of medicare. Compationate conservatism puts the fox in the chicken coop because the chickens were so nervous with the fox lurking outside.
