I was asked "did I really go long" in PM.

No, I did not, but only to the extent of one SUV exposure, intending to score one more platinum watch before end of March, and pay off some interest on the Yen loan, all in the spirit of experimentation, seeing if Abby is more powerful, and Hayamu is more kind, than the Maestro.

So, we are at 4 SUVs and one serious platinum watch borrowed (Yen:US$ 116 rate), 1 SUV speculated on a Euro high yield bond fund (0.93 US$:Euro rate), 1 SUV speculated on a basket of fairly randomly chosen US, German, Chinese, British, and Japanese techish shares, with 2 SUVs and the serious platinum watch still held in reserve, denominated in US$ cash call market rate at positive carry to Yen borrowing rate.

Hayami, Maestro, Abby will turn out to be the icons of 2001 disaster. First two creating the liquidity torrent, the third creating the fantastic stories, all responsible for the calamity, but not before, hopefully, bailing me out should I screw up my watch collecting hobby.

Chugs, Jay
