Ant, did he buy the M Class? Actually, I was only talking reliability. Consumer Reports actually liked the truck and their exact wording was: "were it not for its continued reliability problems, the ML320 (don't you love these horrible letter and number names? My editorial, not CR's.) would be one of our top picks..." So, if reliability is not one of your main critirea, the truck may still be a good deal for you.

The CLK coupe also has lousy reliability, while most of the other peace sign cars rate avg. The little hardtop convertible, the SLK, is better than avg. Part of the problem may be that they put too much stuff on their cars and the more stuff you have, the more that breaks. Electrical, Integrity and hardware seem to be the common problems across all their product lines. I know what electrical means and haven't a clue on the other two. <g>
