MEANINGFUL evidence would be to say what % of fraud is related to internet compare that to the b&m related fraud. my guess is that there isn't much difference - regardless of the headlines.

Skeeter,

I know for a fact that internet credit card fraud is far higher than in traditional brick and mortar stores.I often have people ordering at my on-line using fraudulent cards. We do our DD so that we have never sent any item with the use of a faudulent card.

The card processing firms charge a higher discount rate for all on-line transactions. This is true for us and for a pure play like Amazon. The reason being is their out of pocket losses are greater. This really is true.
