i just finished another clean image using di3.0. i was thinking about your probs when i was creating the image.

here are a few thoughts/ideas.... nothing too scientific.

have you tried running di from floppy disk?

have you ever gotten an image copied successfully?

have you tried using no compression? try it, if you haven't.

do you turn off (uncheck) the "check for file system errors' option, under 'advanced options' (button) on the 'ready to create image file' page? i always create the image with that option off. while on that page, make sure each of the other four options are not selected either. click OK.

good luck

:)
