Strictly speaking it would be safest to wait until this trading range is broken. And the last couple days are just a small consolidation within a much larger range, despite all the talk and angst - trading in here is an invitation to being whipsawed or taking on undue risk.

Agressive traders might short on a break of Wednesday's low on SPX. A break of Tuesday's low is incrementally safer.

And safest of all would be to let things play out.

My guess leans to a scenario where the upper boundary of the larger range is attempted. I am definitely a seller of any failure there.
