Steve,

Actual GZTC question (outgrowth of a discussion w/ Vector1 and Andrew H on the VD Index thread): How does GZTC ensure sterility of its milk?

1) Do they pasteurize? or does this denature the product protein?

2) Is there another step in the purification which ensures removal/neutraliztion of pathogens? or is it just the ultimate purity of the product protein?

3) Is there any concern about passage of BSE via milk, either between transgenic animals or in the product? What steps prevent introduction or passage of BSE?

Thanks,
biowa
