I am less prone to slamming, but I admit, frustration can build, as one is challenged to prove that the sun rises in the East and sets in the West; that 2 plus 2 equals four; that the market is the engine of a broadbased prosperity; that the only way to discourage military adventurism by our rivals is through undisputed strength; that society cannot long survive without instilling a strong sense of responsibility and discipline in most of the citizenry; that you cannot have a society where infants cannot be safe in their mother's wombs and call it humane; that religion is not the enemy, but a great civilizing agent; and any number of other things that should not be subject to any profound dispute. How can one respect those who have such difficulty acknowledging that conservatives have real issues to bring to the table?
