Rande, they are not analysts, they are investment banking salesman. Now, what they have done, and by them I mean the big houses on the street, is erode confidence, and like fiat money, once it is lost, good-night....
Which brings me to another point. My wife and I were talking about YHOO last night, and she asked why and how they could halt trading in it all day. My answer was that if they had let it trade, the whole market would have sold off, and they don't want that to happen, they need to keep the game going.
Her reply was real simple, "then it's all just a manipulation, isn't it??"
