Looking after users' bug fixes _is_ looking after how to, "prop up a fading star." Without people posting here, Si is nothing. What set /sets SI apart from other web sites for people to discuss stocks is the people who post here. Proping up SI is keeping it's members happy--so they make informative postings.

On a few threads on which I was a regular, I was the only person with accounts at some big-boy investment firms and therefore the only person with access to these firms research reports. When new reports were released, I shared the information. This added to the quality of information one could obtain reading those threads. This was good for other thread regulars, lurkers, _and_ INSP: they want SI to be a star, they have to keep those people who are willing (and able) to provide information not commonly found on other site stock message boards/threads. It's not me or others like me as individuals, but the information people like me are able to provide [besides our chit chat].
