Cable TV is streaming at MP2 speed not exceeding 2 mbs. When convergence technology based on wireless 3G technology coming in at 5 mbs digital video; cable TV would compete with interactive DTV which using 2.4 GHZ tuner(same as wireless cell phone) streaming MP3. Since convergence interactive DTV(digital TV) will use wireless channels from microwave towers(no ghost signals), it will be paid TV as well. The old analog TV will remain free and broadcasted the old way. A set top box can do the conversion to receive DTV signals. ANTC needs smart partnering with all possible convergence telecom companies. The new technology can be supported with subscribers of DTV. NT will also transmit wireless protocol on DWDM.
