RedHawk Vision Teams with ShutterPort.com; Video Pics(TM) to be Featured on Picture Judge 'Red Hot or Not'
COSTA MESA, Calif., March 8 /PRNewswire/ -- RedHawk Vision, Inc. today announced that its Video Pics(TM) plug-in software for Adobe Premiere® will be featured on ShutterPort.com and the co-branded Picture Judge ``Red Hot or Not'' online rating system, through a licensing agreement. Video Pics users will be offered free ShutterPort.com and PictureJudge.com memberships, which will allow them to upload images they produce with RedHawk Vision's proprietary software to PictureJudge.com anonymously and free of charge. The images are then reviewed, scrutinized and judged by a vast Internet audience.
Via mutual web site links, RedHawk Vision's products will be featured on Shutterport.com for anyone interested in extracting images from video. There will also be links to the RedHawk Vision web site on the web sites of other Shutterport.com partners and PictureJudge.com licensees who have expressed interest in featuring RedHawk Vision products for their customers.
Unlike other online competitors that only allow users to simply score photos on a scale of 1-10, Picture Judge allows participants to score photos, and then offer and read commentary about the posted images. Picture Judge ``Red Hot or Not'' is run with proprietary software developed by Santyware, Inc., a co-venture between ShutterPort.com and Santy.Net. ShutterPort.com and PictureJudge.com are both being offered through an Application Service Provider (ASP) program to other web sites.
According to Mark Gart, RedHawk Vision's Chief Marketing Officer, ``Video Pics' ease of use and fast processing often has it mistaken for a simple frame grabber. Actually, it uses advanced technology originally developed for NASA and the Air Force to process multiple frames of video to extract the desired image, which is suitable for producing a high quality photograph.'' Mr. Gart continued, ``Picture Judge provides a wonderful opportunity for Video Pics users to get third party feedback from photography and video professionals on the content and quality of the images our software produces and demonstrate that it's not a frame grabber. This will be invaluable to RedHawk Vision for new product developments, especially our standalone product.''
Video Pics is available for purchase from the company's web site at www.RedHawkVision.com.
