I've never understood this "Americans aren't saving" crap either.

I mean, what the heck are these 401K plans anyway, if not savings.

I guess they would rather us all have our money in CDs and checking accounts, eh?

Maybe they would rather we be like the Japanese with $12 Trillion in personal savings, an economy in recession, continuing deflation, and a stock market making new lows.
