I believe a put or pay contract here means the other party has to put up the indicated amount (tonnage) of waste or pay cash for the difference. In short, the plant is guaranteed a fixed amount of revenues for the time period in the contract. (To anyone reading this: Please correct me if I am wrong)

I share with you that it is a good sign the volume is dwindling with less volatility.
