Atna Resources Ltd. has completed 13 reverse circulation (RC) drill holes totalling 1,862 metres on the Monterde gold-silver property in Chihuahua state, Mexico (see Stockwatch Sept. 20 and Nov. 21, 2000). Significant assay results for all holes are:

Holes MTR 9 to 21 tested mineralized rock adjacent to the old mine workings along the Carmen shear system. All holes were sampled at two-metre intervals. Samples, including blanks, standards and duplicates, were prepared by ALS Chemex in Chihuahua, Mexico, and sent to its laboratory in Vancouver, B.C., for assay.
The Los Hilos A and B zones appear to be structures located between the main Los Hilos and Carmen shears. Holes MTR 1 to 8 were drilled in 1998 by Golden Treasure Resources to test the subparallel Los Hilos structures and the Carmen shear. Kimber Resources Inc., a private company, which optioned the property to Atna, had estimated a potential resource of 10.5 million tonnes grading 2.1 grams per tonne gold and 66.7 g/t silver within the Carmen shear mineralized system prior to Atna's drilling program.
Atna will compile and review results from the drilling, surface and underground sampling and preliminary bottle-roll tests prior to determining future plans for the property. A plan map showing the location of holes is available on request and on Atna's Web site www.atna.com.
