the market. Contracts stabilize the unit demand and that allows for some price and revenue control. I guess that would eliminate some of the volatility.

Without seeing the contract, there is no way anyone can predict how it was written. There are standard clauses and then there are the add ons.

You don't think CSCO agreed to keep buying flash no matter what....I am sure their attorneys provided them with several escape clauses.

AMD's only protection is to keep on selling...and if that doesn't happen, then AMD warns as well. I don't think the executed contracts ultimately will provide any protection from tech wreck, 2001.
