Well, I know what values I get when I throw in assumptions...

But I'd rather focus on how to get one than the one I get.

For two reasons: (a) if I post inaccurate assumptions, then they will be used to discredit the method, and (b) it's dangerous to have an unpopular opinion on this thread. Doesn't attract thinking as much as it attracts bile.

Maybe some posters here think with their livers? <VBG>

Commenting on other parts of your post, I don't think pension liability is so big a deal for CSCO as it is for some of the more long-in-the-tooth companies like the big blue chips. I know some tech companies have adopted "roll your own" type pension plans - drastically reducing their own exposure and leaving it to their employees.

But you are right that earnings mix has changed. We should see it show up in Q3 results and come home to roost by Q4.
