PCCW sr officials attend iLink listing ceremony 2001-03-09 11:15 (Infocast News) iLink (8107) gets listed today. Its major shareholder Pacific Century CyberWorks (0008) sent over vice-chairman Linus Cheung and Francis Yuen to attend the listing ceremony. This shows PCCW giving strong support to the listing of iLink. After ceremony, Linus Cheung told the press that PCCW is interested in bidding for the local 3G license and is considering to go with the JV of PCCW and Telstra. As to whether the proportion for the opening of the network up to 30% for MVNO would be too high, he declined to give comments. Being asked about the progress of the restructuring of iTV and NOW, he said the details will be given when announc the results by late March. Besides, with respect to Cable & Wireless' disposal of shares in PCCW, he said C&W has earlier noted no rush in disposal which will be gone through with an orderly manner. infocastfn.com
