CBS just had a segment on guns. Parents were able to watch on a hidden camera the way their kids responded to finding a gun in various settings. Most kids did not leave it alone. Some played with it and one pointed it at his friend. Parents were horrified. TV talking head said, there you go, you can't train kids to leave them alone, there is just too much juju going on about guns. I submit not one* of those kids had any training about the safe handling of guns but unlike any other problem they (parents, educators, and media) don't want to make the effort to educate. Curious, huh?

I can't think of a strategy that would make guns more attractive to kids than ignorance, glamour, and demonization. Absolutely perfect.!

*Edit: The program did claim that some (?) kids had been given training but I didn't catch what the training was.
