ELNK gets a mention in the BW "Inside Wall Street" column:
Apple Computer Shares Are Worth About $45 Each, Magazine Says Cupertino, California, March 8 (Bloomberg) -- Apple Computer Inc. shares are an attractive value investment right now and are worth about $45 each, Business Week reported in its ``Inside Wall Street'' column, citing money manager Charles Lemonides.
Lemonides values the personal-computer maker's operating assets at $30 a share and its cash and marketable securities at about $15, the magazine said. Lemonides is chief investment officer at ValueWorks@M&R Capital Management Inc.
He expects Apple shares to rise as the economy stabilizes and it benefits from new products, the magazine said. The Cupertino, California-based company's shares have fallen 66 percent over the past year. They fell 44 cents to $20.81 today.
EarthLink Inc., the No. 2 U.S. Internet-access provider, is also an attractive investment right now, the magazine said, citing Lemonides. It could be a takeover target for a company such as Microsoft Corp. that wants to compete with AOL Time Warner Inc., the magazine said, citing Frederick Moran, an analyst at Jefferies & Co.
