more information is probably/certainly available about the HIV test strips containing a small portion of gold (my opinion here) from the company. The company is Ireland based although they have acquired assets in the US and the gold based diagnosis tests are part of a "platform" of tests, which unfortunately i have forgotten the commercial name ... Trinity Biotech is the name, of which i have had a position at various levels , in and out, and still do in fact. This stock has been very profitable for me, not investment advice though. As for the HIV test being rejected and finding their way to the recycler`s yard, i doubt it very much for two reasons:
1- as i said a whole series of test is based on their gold technology
2- the test have sold swiftly with a number of other health agencies around the world, as well as the Russian military, South Africa i think, no doubt more information is available from their web site or from the SI thread here called Trinity biotech (symbol TRIB)
