I wouldn't say that. Athlon has been a great product, and, coupled with the flash upturn, allowed AMD to go from near bankruptcy to high-margin profitability, but the Intel/AMD unit share break-down has been basically unchanged since the end of q4, 1999. Moreover, the still MIAthlon American corporate design win, lack of any server/MP products, continuing absence of a competitive notebook cpu cannot be called anything but disappointing, as well as a massive opportunity loss.
