the lemming rodeo continues with it beginning to look like the only escape may well be the cliff. Like clockwork each sector which was a bastion of safety has been dismantled. Storage (even with no business they still need to store data)...Software...(since in a tough business environment management will still spend money to save money)...

The problem with the tech analysts is that none of them seem to actually have ever worked in a business. When CEO's aren't sure where the next sales $ is coming from they always go into a temporary catatonic state. When they are contemplating laying off employees, they are NOT very interested with grasping a new way to spend money from the erstwhile self important IT manager.

Takes about 6 months in my opinion until the fetal position loosens and once again thoughts can turn to expansion and spending.

The complacent attitude in technology stocks looks like it has one more puking session to really stick a fork in them. I would suggest that a Fed disappointment will be that catalyst. The data do not suggest urgent and strong monatary loosening is needed, or if needed, a moderate and continual loosening will suffice.

If we only get 25 bp next week that may be the market ipocac to lay the rest low.
