Hispanics have come about even with blacks, which dilutes the influence of the black vote. They vote about 30% Republican, and, unlike blacks, they tend to follow the pattern of trending Republican as they advance socio- economically, so the number is likely to grow. In the next twenty years. Asians are expected to increase, as a percentage of the population, only to about 6%; blacks are expected to decline slightly; and hispanics are expected to grow a little more. In 20 years, whites will still be the majority, albeit somewhat diminished. Given the tendency to higher birthrates among the strongly religious, the white demographic is likely to become even more Republican, thus balancing the slight decline in overall numbers. I will not speculate about further down the road, but for the next 20 years or so, the demographics favor Republicans.......
