Mike, as many have pointed out, the Japanese culturally don't seem to want to admit the problems and instead
want to "save face" I think that this mentality is starting to melt, as their economic seige goes on.

I think the older age demographics are coming into play as well in Japan. There is more consumer restraint and
less risk taking.

They really have need to have a Resolution Trust Corporation type agency to go in and rationalize the debt and
crossownership issues. Of course there are some individuals , corporate execs etc that are benefiting from
this situation as they have been able to keep their jobs and lifestyles, they would have been replaced much
sooner, had the problems been dealt with sooner.
