IFS Announces Over $2 Million in Combined Revenues to be Generated Upon Approval by Jacksonville School District
DELRAY BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 9, 2001--International Foam Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB:IFOS - news) announced today that it has received an RFP (request for proposal) from the Duval County Public Schools (DCPS). DCPS is the 15th largest school district in the United States.
The City of Jacksonville is where the Duval County Public Schools are located. DCPS hosts a population of 126,000 students, 14,000 employees and over 155 schools. The City of Jacksonville Duval County Public School District ``Waste Composition Study,'' Prepared by TIA Solid Waste Management Consultants, Inc. of Tampa, Fla., shows that the amount of polystyrene from DCPS is 603.7 tons or 1,207,400 pounds of polystyrene.
1,207,400 pounds of recycled polystyrene combined with our current flow of ``poygel''(c) could generate between $990,000 to $2,452,500 in annual revenues to IFS (IFOS) each year. Sales of Styro Solve(c) and sales of the recycled polystyrene beads and by-products will generate the revenue. The RFP calls for a one year contract, extended into four one-year increments annually.
