That's actually very good news. When commodity chip-makers start cutting production at fabs, to try and prop up prices, it means we are within a few months of a bottom. When they start shutting down new fabs, we'll be even closer. For the moment, I'm betting the bottom (in semi-equip stock prices and bookings) is sometime in the middle half of 2001, April-August.
