John, on the positive side is the fact that they have piled a lot of investment into infrastructure. This can only be along term benefit. When they do start to move up they will not be hampered by physical structural limits. How many bridges do we ride over today that were originally built in the 30's? More than most people realize. Much of the highway systems constructed in the 60's -70's period are still the main arteries of this nation. Infrastructure improvements have a very long term positive effect on a growing economy.

Japan is, even with its present floundering, setting the stage for a very positive turn; when that turn does indeed come.
