Sorry I took so long to respond. I am long TXN but it is one stock I do not day trade since I work for them. True, I may not understand Intel but I do know TXN and have worked for them for 20 plus years. In those 20 years I have seen TI do many things well and some very poorly. The difference between now and then is a 45 year old president willing to make bold moves. Will those moves work out? Who knows! As far as TI's competition in high end DSP's; it is practically non-existent. Will Intel make DSP's? Why should they? Their fabs are maxed out already. Your argument doesn't make any sense to me. I agree there are companies who could compete with TI in this market but Intel ain't one of them. TXN is building a war chest to fight off the competition. Can you guess their (TXN's) most likely competition?
