What are the specs for the products they have shipped?



I'm told they can reach the specs in their labs but there's no data for installed networks. (You give up distance for channels.) Tycom, for example, claims they'll do 7000 kms, but it hasn't be proven in the field. The leaders --- CORV, NT, ALA, TCM --- will get there. Everything's improving: fiber, FEC, amplifiers, and so on. It'll just take time.

If you have Corvis's field data, please post. I'd be interested to see how they're progressing.
