Dear Zeev - Thanks goodness. I've been waiting for your reply and now I can go quietly to bed tonight. My view is that this is getting way overdone. Its only the high profile and non-stop warnings that are doing this and most of it is emotional over-reaction. When are we going to get dire warnings from MSFT, CSCO, HP, LU, NT, JDSU, SUNW etc? Do we have enough Thurday afternoons? If we extrapolate what we see across a wide cross section of companies incl INTC then we end up with a depression scenario never mind a recession. You simply can't have companies like INTC expecting a reduction in business of 25% per qtr without it spreading around the World and then arriving back in the US thereby adding a further downward screw. Allowed to continue Mr Bush is going to go into the history books as the 2nd President to have allowed a depression in the Country. We will be on the verge of a black hole and not much will escape except of course most of the 'Old' money. Of course Mr G won't make a move to inject some life into the tech sector. maybe he figures we ust don't need tech to prosper. Anyway thanks for your post. Best regards, L
