DOES THIS HAVE ANY IMPLICATIONS FOR QUEENSLAND? HOUSTON, March 8 (Reuters) - El Paso Corp. (NYSE:EPG - news) said Thursday it has tentative agreed to begin purchasing liquefied natural gas (LNG) in 2005 in hopes of shipping it to California or Mexico. The gas would be purchased from a Phillips Petroleum Co. (NYSE:P - news) plant near Darwin, Australia, El Paso continued, saying the companies expect to reach a definitive agreement by mid-year covering purchases of about 4.8 million metric tonnes of LNG a year for 15 years at market sensitive prices.
