are you running norton systemworks? if so, one of the suite components is cleansweep. under advanced features in cleansweep are two tools that may help in your quest to "send that sucker packing".

'registry sweep' is one, and 'orphan finder' is the other. orphan finder looks for files left behind by programs. that might do it. i would love to see it try. <g3>

if you don't have systemworks, perhaps we can a find freeware/shareware program that goes after orphans. i really think that would be a valid plan of attack.

beyond that, depending upon what os you run (sorry, i don't recall), maybe the ghost remnant shows in your start up list in system configuration utility (win98) or with a start up manager program if you run another os.

i kinda' have the same type of deal with a ghost remnant on my win95 box. now that you are actively pursuing getting rid of yours, i will probably get motivated to eradicate mine.

good luck

:)
