NOTICE TO THE BORED:
After checking my sources of information tonight on the popular vote margin, it very much appears I was in error in saying that Gore's margin was 1.5 million. As best as I can determine, there was much talk on the GWB thread around Dec. 15-18 regarding the final popular vote, and the 1 million figure that I remembered was actually cited in the context of votes not counted in California, not a final, additional margin for Gore after the votes were counted. Regardless, the thrust of my posts in which the numbers are cited remains the same, whether the margin is 550,000 (which it is) or 1.5 million (which I erroneously reported).
I beg your forgiveness, and the forgiveness of all seekers of truth on this most enlightened thread.
