One more thing about that article: it quotes IBM, Hitachi and EMC and all of them were
saying they were making in-roads on the competition... so they all compete against
each other and they are all winning! Someone's lying... :)

IBM did have a good comment that when they lost, it was on price. This is
where NTAP will do well against it's competition because they have always been
competitively priced for their performance. They typically offer 2 to 3 times the
performance at half the price. Also, since it is an appliance and doesn't need
IT administrators to hand-hold, it costs less to maintain it.

Price, price-performance and lower cost of ownership are really going to help
NTAP this year if IT spending continues to get compressed. I don't think the
lower cost, lower performing end of the NAS market - DELL, Compaq, etc. -
will be much of a threat because an IT manager may want to save some
money but they certainly don't want to forgoe performance, since that will
jeopardize their own customers or business.

My lowly opinion.
