"Anyway, I've been meaning to ask, what happened to Danny, and his rich friend's portfolio of ultra-safe stocks like NT, etc... ? I also wonder about Craig Crawford and his bet on yhoo and Sun !!!"

I have been wondering the same thing lately. I assume they got bruised by the bear market and hopefully did not continue to convince themselves that everything was looking up for the "leaders". This idea that it is safe to invest in the "leaders" seems to me to be the most dangerous perspective. The only answer to investing now seems to be to really understand valuation and how it applies to a specific company, the economic context and how it affects the industry of that company, and a good deal about the company itself. BS about "the leaders" does not cut it any more.
