Speaking of smug, how about these guys who missed the entire huge move in Tech/Inet stocks from 1997 to 2000? They are actually bragging, can you believe that? They are being featured on all the TV stock shows as the really smart gurus. Give me a break, they missed making a huge pile of money. I went into 2000 with a fat portfolio, up 800%. Had I avoided tech/internet stocks over the past years like Buffet and Biggs, I'd surely be a ton poorer. For the poor shnooks that were buy and holders of old economy, they had 3 lousy years. This has been their first good year. What makes that so smart? One in four doesn't a guru make. Why don't they feature the Guru who said, sell your Tech stocks last March? There were even some on SI. Those are the real Gurus. The others are like a broken clock, right 2 times a day whether they tried or not. I'm not impressed. Fred
