That calculator says I save $6K in taxes. James, I'm glad you're happy. I'll admit I haven't been paying much attention to how this might affect me. I was really only looking at the macro picture, which left me under the impression that I could expect more than chump change. Silly me! The calculator gave me a $3K cut, which is about 10% off what I've been paying, and for that to fully kick in I have to wait ten years. The NYT calculator gives me a few hundred the first year. Color me extremely disappointed. For that little bit of money, they might as well use it to pay down the debt. Or buy another toilet seat. Karen
