Re: Not according to this: Welcome back Pervert Paul! The Palamino core is going to be used for both portable and desktop systems. You were looking at a desktop roadmap. AMD won't need a desktop Palamino until (unless?) Intel ships something that can compete with the present Thunderbird core - Tualatin or 2 GHZ P4. But AMD badly needs a new core for use in notebooks. So that's where Palamino will be used for the next few months. :-) Dan
