I personally am looking to double my position from what I currently hold and will buy 1/3 at a time starting with my first position if we continue to see weakness into next week. Have to have a discipline in this market and stick to that. That works both on the buy side as well as the sell side.

Discipline really is the key. What we've experienced this past 9 mos will stand us in good stead going forward, for the market as a whole and each of us as individual investors. Call it the Big Reality Check. What started as a slow-down in carrier spending --- that for most meant voice networks --- eventually affected the market to the extent that all spending became impacted. With that reality came more pessimism and more price erosion and more cut-backs --- a slow descent into hell.

Once the bottom is reached, there'll be opportunities on the upside equal to the losses on the downside, though I don't think we'll see dot.com valuations for a long time. Companies will have to prove their worth to get high valuations. George Gilder's magic wand won't work as it did before. In fact, maybe it'll have a reverse affect. I can see it now: companies suing him for mentioning their name --- the kiss of death --- instant affirmation it's a dot.dream you have to hold onto till your unborn grandkids turn grey.

Of course maybe he's rethinking his "I don't do numbers" disclaimer. Perhaps he's decided there just might be some wisdom in those strange little ciphers that represent earnings. What a concept. . .
