Ron,

Those 100 dollar toilet seats weren't bought by someone on welfare they were bought by a defense contractor and they were 500 or 600 dollars. Bernie Ward from KGO/ABC was a reporter at the time and broke the story.

I worked for a company that had gov't contracts so nobody needs to tell me how they work. The fraud is huge and I do mean huge!!!!!! Companies who rely on gov't contracts become so lazy they forget how to make money in the real world by providing product quality. They lose their ability to compete so it is not much different than individual welfare.

It is my belief that middle class tax cuts help the economy alot more than the Bush's "trickle down" Reaganesque plan. When I was younger we used to use the word "trickle" for urinate. Well, I think you can guess how most people feel about getting urinated on by Reaganomics. Middle class tax cuts put money into the pockets of more people who in turn go out and buy clothes for their families, shoes, furniture, cars, computers, they eat out more and take vacations so they drive the economy by SPENDING on goods and services. Trickle down creates some low paying jobs here and there but the bulk goes into the pockets of a few.
Everyone has to make money in order for the economy to prosper. That is why, I believe , these last years have been successful. I prefer the method of "beam it up" rather than "trickle down". As I said before, " Nobody likes to get pi$$** on".
