Jack...I have @home here in MIchigan. When first installed several months ago I had those problems
you alluded to but lately service has been excellent, only one short drop out several days ago and the speed has increased to the point a mega-byte per sec. is not unusual. When downloading megabyte files they just seem to speed by so fast I can't keep up with the visual display. I will admit I swore at them for a while but all is better now.
I had 56k modem and DirectDuo dish prior to @home. DirectDuo was fast but but weather constantly knocked
out reception so when @HOME became available I jumped at it. I also switched TV from Direct to Dish nertwork and have much better luck with it. So, in the last year I have tried them all except DSL which is not available to me because of distance from telephone switch station.
I hope the problems in Illinois will be solved and your relatives will love @home as much as I. Ken

PS Going to Manlius to see wifes relatives in 2 weeks. HUH? Where is Manlius? Near Princeton
