People are sick of message boards in general

So much hype, spam, personal attacks, pump and dumps, paid "analysts" junk... Take a look around. Posts are down everywhere. The chairman/admin. system doesn't work either because you know the chairman/admin. will either be a pumper, company IR firm or a person who's blindly in love with his investment. You'll just get a one sided discussion if negative posters can't post. You need negative posts for a good discussion. You need back and forth. How can a postive poster bring up the positive aspects of the company if someone else doesn't bring up the negatives? How can you really talk about the pros if no one brings up the cons? Look how few posts are on IH threads except the hype threds. IH is just pumps and company fan clubs. Who else would want to delete negative posts and control content?

People have been so burned by message boards financially and emotionally. The latest SEC internet crack down just makes people mistrust them even more. Reading articles about l5 year olds and tree trimmers ripping people off for millions via the boards doesn't help the message board image either.

I think investors in the future will be looking to truly independent news items from well known legitimate sources like WSJ, company information, SEC docs and the actual numbers and products/services again. I think this tech stock dump has really taught people a lesson about message boards and the stock market.

I also noticed that posts are really down since they added "ignore" features to message boards. Not good for advertising or hits though users like it. I like to just use my own willpower, or at least try to ;-)
