West, I may be wrong, but my own long term "measures" indicate that 1900 is the Maginot" line which could bring a catastrophe (and no, I have no idea where the Fed's have their Maginot line where they will bring to bear (no pun intended) the full force of their liquidity generating machine). I won't bore you how I got to that number, but it has been there for this year bear's bottom since a post in April of last year. Thus, at last from where I stand, being only 150 naz points from that level called for heavy deployment of cash. Sure, there is a good probability that Monday might be a "black Monday", but good is not higher than 50% IMHO. I lean to the opinion that the futures are going to be pumped up pre opening, the market may be sold after the opening and even make new marginal lows, but I do not think that we are "ripe" for another big hit. Hey we are down 30% from the beginning of February, would say that this is enough of a massacre, for now.
