Great Idea. I'll be only too happy to be the first out of the many threads that own commercial sites and link them and plug them on SI even in their profile. No one of ever requested. If tomorrow SI policy changes ACROSS THE BOARD to ban advertising (everyone of course), I'll be the first to remove every single link. No problem, we don't care. No mentioning of signing up, costs, free trials, in headers, come ons, from interviews, pictures from seminars, no LINKS whatsoever. Its probably the best thing. As long as the policy covers EVERYONE down the line, I'M TOTALLY in favor. I suspect though that its other sites that won't like a policy change although we don't care.

We were planning to have a "featured FORUM on SI" that will run simultaneously on our website anyhow as they are allowing commercial sites to do so. We were about to start looking at terms this week as I posted already. But a ban on ALL ADVERTISING, throughout SI is a very good idea. My only confusion here is simple. Is one who sits on a thread(s) with a pay site of their own to be the "leader" of this proposal.. Why, George, don't YOU do it.
