"Be that as it may, tobacco is no where near the biggest threat to the health of our children. Drugs, violence and sexual diseases rank far higher in my book. Kids smoked in the school bathrooms when I was a teenager, and they probably smoke in the school bathroom today. Campaigns to educate children can be helpful, and we should encourage them. My kids get their education from us (their parents) at home. "

You make a good point there. The liberals are all for trying to scare children about smoking. However would anyone like to compare the life expectancy of smoking to the life expectancy of the gay male. I'm not talking morality here just cold hard facts. It is far safer to take up smoking than to take up the other life style choice. Yet it is posed as just that, another life style choice. Try it you might like it. "TRY IT YOU MIGHT DIE" is more like it.

ALso the San Jose Mercury News came down on the side of protecting the rights of adults to view pornography in the libraries in an editorial today. Well I guess there is another place that you have to supervise your children now.
WHY DONT WE DO IT IN THE ROAD ???
