I will not speak to the particulars of the suspension as I believe that in all cases this is between myself and the member in question.

Jeff, I agree with the above as long as the SI community is confident that your standards are applied consistently and fairly; today, the community is not confident.

I do have a few questions not related to Tim specifically:

1. Does SI, with or without notice, modify thread headers?
2. If so, on what terms does SI do this? If the header were offensive and violated TOS, I would think the thread would be deleted.
3. Does SI also modify member's posts after the fact ?
4. Again, on what terms would SI do this ?
5. Is there a business relationship between SI and Pristine or Market Gems that SI members should be aware of ? IF there is, I believe this would affect the "sense of community" on SI.

I really have no problem with SI or anyone else who is running a business and therefore, attempting to make a profit. I do have concerns about standards not being applied consistently and fairly across this community. Also, with underlying business relationships that if they exist, should be disclosed.
