"... you didn't answer ***my*** question. How does it feel to have lost a bundle on VALH? How do you explain that to the wife at the breakfast table?
"I know we were saving for the kids education, but VALH looked so good, honey. There was this guy called Pink who said it was going to be a great investment..."
She answers: "But Bob, it was a penny stock. It had a mountain of debt. You bought shares at 50 times what the insiders paid. There was huge dilution possibilities. It was in a commodity industry with microscopic margins and brutal competition.
"I did some research Bob, VALH has wrecked almost every company it has ever bought. It's been delisted before. It has been late filing a dozen times. It has Leonard Rosenberg involved, the same guy who did jail time for criminal fraud exceeding $100 million.
"What the heck were you thinking?"
Bob replies: "Well... I know it doesn't look very good on paper, dear. But there are some really neat guys on Raging Bull, like RT Cruser, llccman, and ceedee... and they did really elaborate, comprehensive due diligience on VALH... they read well over half of the press releases the company issued, and they said it was a great investment.
"You don't understand, honey, VALH has this really great technology called OptiStress that is going to revolutionize the world."
"Bob, Bob, Bob... OptiStress is 15 year old technology. That's it Bob, I'm cancelling yout Waterhouse account. My parents told me it was a bad idea to marry you." she says, shaking her head.
Come 'on Bob... I guess it is a little voyeuristic of me to ask... but what does it really feel like to blow 50 grand on a investment in a shaky OTC penny stock like VALH?
Do you feel really, really, really stupid? Do you feel like an idiot? Do you feel like a moron? Do you feel like a total fool? Do you wake up in the morning and immediately punch yourself in the head?
I was talking to SeetSue and she says your her favorite. So keep her front and center.
